Position: Security Engineer
Contract Type: Full Time
Location: Kent

Our client, located in Sidcup, Kent, is seeking to recruit an Experienced Security Engineer.

Our client is seeking local candidates (max 40 minute drive from Sidcup) with a minimum of 5 years experience across a variety of disciplines: Intruder alarm, CCTV, Access Control and Fire.

Main purpose of the job:

To carry out the installation & maintenance of intruder alarms and all other associated security systems in accordance with company quality procedures & code of practice.

Specific Duties:

To install and maintain security systems in accordance with current regulatory organisations to which our client complies i.e. Nacoss / NSI, BSI, ACPO, H&SE. To ensure that all systems conform to the required standards. This includes installations of new systems and upgrading existing systems.

  1. To liaise with your line manager in regard to all installation and maintenance matters. To assist in the smooth running of all security installations and related works.
  2. To provide comprehensive end user training as necessary.
  3. To assist in providing full and comprehensive up to date site and office records / manuals and to liaise with administrative staff accordingly.
  4. To report all comments relating to equipment in use and to investigate, and keep up to date and report on new technology in consultation with the Department Head.
  5. To ensure that all equipment used, returned or rejected etc. is documented in accordance with company stock control procedures.
  6. To provide out of normal working hours emergency service cover for clients, at a frequency as determined by the department manager.
  7. To provide sales support in the form of assisting on site visits, system design, labour calculations and technical guidance with all security system designs.
  8. To provide support in lead generation via the following methods: leaflet dropping, door knocking, cold calling, client liaison visits & on site company promotion to other contractors.
  9. To provide care of all company vehicles and other equipment used by yourself including: mobile phone, laptop and company credit card.
  10. To project manage larger on going works whilst managing and overseeing your own diary and other engineers diaries in the most efficient manner possible to benefit the company.
  11. To assist with administration works i.e. invoicing and updating of specifications.

Salary: 25,000 - 35,000 PA DOE
