Our client is seeking a Commercial Administrator to join their maintenance team to provide commercial administration support to their Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers.
The team is responsible for ensuring that repairs undertaken for their NHS buildings are appropriately costed and then invoiced in line with contract terms. They manage over 100 buildings across the South East of England on behalf of the NHS and undertake repairs to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting/decorating etc.
Previous Commercial Administration experience would be a distinct advantage. This could have been gained either as a commercial administrator, or an assistant quantity surveyor with a maintenance contractor. This experience however is not essential, if you have strong administration and communication skills gained within an environment similar to buildings maintenance. You will need to demonstrate good numeracy, written and verbal communication skills and have a strong eye for detail. The preferred candidate will also have strong Microsoft Packages experience such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Candidates with knowledge of Planet FM are especially encouraged to apply, but this is by no means essential.
This position also offers the opportunity for onward progression into quantity surveying, with full training and development provided.
Our client is also able to offer Hybrid Working (i.e., blend of home working and office-based working) for the right person should this be preferred.
Hours: 8.00 am – 5.00 pm
Salary; £25,000.00 – £27,500.00
This is a permanent position although a temp to perm scenario would be considered.
