Our client, an educational establishment located in Blackheath, are seeking to recruit a Temporary Minibus Supervisor.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all pupils are seated and behaving appropriately throughout the journey.  Additionally responsible for escorting junior pupils either into school or handling over their care to a member of the Junior School staff.

Hours:  6.30 am – 8.30 am – Monday to Friday – TTO

Start Date:  September 2026

A current Enhanced DBS for Children is essential to apply for this role.

Duties:

1. To be at the school bus departure point or agreed pick up point at least 5 minutes before
2. Get of the bus at each stop and assist pupils onto the bus, ensuring that seat belts are securely fastened
3. Ensure a daily register of passengers is maintained and passed to the Director of Finance & Operations on a weekly basis
4. Ensure that noise levels are kept at an acceptable level so as not to distract the driver
5. Answer the school mobile phone when the bus is in transit
6. Ensure all litter is disposed of at the journeys end
7. In the event of an accident or breakdown, stay with the pupils and supervise them until assistance arrives. Where necessary, if the driver is unable to do so, contact breakdown services and/or emergency services and school office to advise of the situation
8. In the event of a delay, and in consultation with the driver, ensure all parents on the register are contact and kept up-to-date.
